In Print
In Print was a creative writing project where participants developed their creative writing skills, learned about grassroots publishing in Glasgow, had their work published in a beautiful zine, and read to the public during Book Week Scotland. Workshops were lead by Katy Hastie and the project ran in partnership with the Glasgow Zine Library. You can purchase this project's publication, The Survivor Guide to Non-Silence, here.
Our Collaborators
The In Print workshops were led by Katy Hastie, a writer, community arts practitioner, and one of the editors of the award-winning Gutter Magazine. Facilitation was supported by the poet Caitlin MacLeod.
This project was a partnership with the Glasgow Zine Library, a library, archive and community space that hosts a year-round accessible programme of workshops and events. Participants will connect with the library and archive and attend a talk from the Zine Library about grassroots publishing and writing in community context.
As well as having their work printed in a beautiful publication, designed and illustrated by Julia Syrzistie, participants had the chance to read their writing to the public as part of Book Week Scotland 2021.
